INDIA IN A DAY was born out of a unique partnership between Ridley Scott’s Scott Free UK and Google.

India’s largest crowd-sourced documentary is devoted to what it means to be alive in India today. Compiled on 10th October 2015, the footage makes up a variety of anecdotes and moments, submitted by people from across the country, from Rajasthan to Kerala. We meet a range of remarkable individuals, glancing into their daily lives as well as being acuainted with personal reflections from the real residents of India.

Immerse yourself in this unique and fascinating experience of realism that has captured a nation’s lives, loves, fears and hopes. India in a Day as told by the people of India.

Brampton-based writer director Richie Mehta about his film SIDDHARTH is at TIFF Sept. 10Mehta’s first feature film, AMAL, starred Naseeruddin Shah, Roshan Seth, and Seema Biswas. The film won over 30 international awards, was nominated for 6 Genie awards, including Best Picture, Director, and Adapted Screenplay, and was named one of the top ten Canadian films of the decade by Playback Magazine. He most recently directed I’LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN, a science-fiction drama starring Haley Joel Osment, Gillian Anderson, Rufus Sewell, and Victor Garber, and SIDDHARTH, a Hindi-language film starring Rajesh Tailang and Tannishtha Chatterjee, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Siddharth has received over 25 International Awards, and was recently shortlisted for best foreign language film at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. Mehta is also an on-screen judge for the reality TV program “Bollywood Star.”
