Poster & Photographic Exhibition
6 March -15 March 2009
Rich Mix

Tongues on Fire have had a proud history of 11 years of associating it self with this journey of cross over of bollywood and arthouse cinema. We believe we have been both a spectator and partner in bollywood's evolution. Come and join us from the 6h March - 15th March a the Rich Mix, where we present an exciting exhibition tracing the people, faces, places and above all films that have been a part of the Tongues on Fire family. Come and experience a touch of bollywood, nostalgia, glamour and evocative human emotion ad drama as we journey through the reinvention of bollywood today.

The formulaic ingredients : star-crossed lovers and angry parents, love triangles, family ties, sacrifice, corrupt politicians, kidnappers, conniving villains, courtesans with hearts of gold, long-lost relatives and siblings separated by fate, dramatic reversals of fortune, and convenient coincidences. Bollywood is larger than life, colourful, resplendent and unique in terms of its traditional formula. In the last 10-15 years, Bollywood has continously re-invented it self with the introduction of sophisticated story lines, grey shaded characters, sophisticated camera work, slick editing and strong characters bringing more realism to its core.
