Tongues on Fire presents its annual Short Film
Competition to identify and showcase the work of
new and upcoming creative talent in the field of film
and digital media. The short-listed selection of films
will be screened at the 2009 Tongues on Fire Asian
Film Festival.

Wednesday 11 March [19.30] RICH MIX Screen 2
Tongues on Fire presents its annual Short Film Competition to identify and showcase the work of
new and upcoming creative talent in the field of film and digital media. The short-listed selection of films will be screened at the 2009 Tongues on Fire Asian Film Festival.
All the shortlisted films will be screened from 7.30 pm and the top 3 winning films will also be announced following the screening and presented with awards. The Lauch of the Film Fraternity will follow to give the filmmakers, judges, industry experts and the audience an opportunity to mingle. Judges will be in attendance to give feedback and share their thoughts on the films.

Dj qurra has been dj-ing for the past 10 years, her music styles include Hip-Hop,
RnB, Bhangra, Desi Beats, DnB, Bollywood, Arabic. She produced, presented and
co-hosted internet radio station Edukasian (www.xsteameast.co.uk) for two years,
ran her own night Dum-Dum, and helped run an urban club night with DJ Ritu (BBC
Radio, Kuch Kuch). She still has a residency in London and has played
internationally, she has played alongside the likes of DJ Ritu, San-j Sanj (Club
