The London Asian Film Festival is an annual film festival dedicated to expressing the drive and spirit of the independent media and cinema cultures of South Asia. On it's 12th year, it was originally branded as Tongues on Fire Film Festival. It provides an unique international platform for Asians working in film and media around the world. Our screenings and events include feature films, documentaries, short films, panel discussions, educational and community screenings.

Tongues on Fire Film Festival started in 1999 with the aim of using film as a way of empowering women, particularly those in communities who seldom visit cinemas. The majority of the films shown are seen as "independent' or "art house" cinema, as opposed to more popular " Bollywood" films.

Tongues on Fire is now rebranding as the London Asian Film Festival and we want to start with a fresh, clean new look. For that we are giving you the opportunity to come up with a new logo for us. Check out the brief and guidelines below.

The winning design will become the London Asian Film Festival logo and it will be used on all promotional material for the 2011 festival. The winner will be credited in the annual brochure, given an award at the Closing Night Ceremony of the Festival and be given access to special events during the Festival.
