Judges Comments For Winning FilmHey Ram!

“Topical, atmospheric and haunting. Really enjoyed the Anurag Kashyap x Dibarkar Banerjee influences on this. I like the various camera angles that make the viewer feel like they are a part of the action. The editing is superb. It’s crisp and tight, but still allows breathing moments for key character development. The scene when the rickshaw driver dabs his face at the end gave me shivers. Perhaps at times, it’s a little incoherent and the motivations for the story too ambiguous. But I enjoyed the relevancy of the subliminal message of Islamaphobia.”

Fantastic characters amazing how powerful 5 minutes can be.”

Poignant, simple but useful message, good cinematography, good use of mise-en-scèn.”

Made me sit on the edge of my seat, great storyline, good character portrayal.”

“Fantastic, crisp cinematography, gripping storytelling with clear narrative and suspenseful.”

Well executed use of film visual language, storytelling gripping and characters well are written.”

Very good drama that is well-acted and directed with subtle storytelling yet gripping. Makes me want to watch more and know more about Rickshaw driver and what that incident does to his transformation. EXCELLENT!
