The South Asian Film Festival Federation (SAFFF) is an open and ongoing initiative pioneered by UKAFF initially as a response to the exigencies faced by the global South Asian film festival sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-21.
Since then, SAFFF events spanning hybrid networking events, conferences, educational and creative industry-based workshops and panel discussions have nurtured a sustainable and dynamic convergence point for filmmakers, digital streaming platforms, producers, exhibitors, students, policymakers and audiences to engage around multifaceted dimensions of British South Asian/South Asian film curation, culture and production.
To further these goals, the UK Asian Film Festival in collaboration with the BFI hosts an annual delegate networking event as part of the BFI London Film Festival programme in October.
