Join us for a very special evening as we celebrate 40 years of the Asian family in the legendary BBC soap, EastEnders - a show that’s captivated audiences with its heartfelt storytelling and iconic Albert Square drama.
Since Naima and Saeed Jeffrey first stepped onto our screens in 1985, the presence of Asian families in EastEnders has grown, reflecting the evolving stories and struggles of migrant communities in the UK. From the Kapoors and Ferreiras to the Masoods and today’s Panesars, these characters have brought warmth, complexity, and authenticity to E20.
This event honours the trailblazers, the storytellers, and the families who’ve made their mark on British television history. Through clips, conversation, and celebration, we’ll look back at their journeys, reflect on representation, and explore how far we’ve come as a community.
