Weaving poems - a workshop with Laila Sumpton
Start your new year creatively with a poetry workshop led by Laila Sumpton that explores the stories and histories that our silk, cotton and muslin clothes hold. Bring an item of clothing that holds a story for you, or pick an item from Laila's library of cloth! Whether it's trade histories, family traditions or fashion advice - we'll weave together new poems using a variety of writing techniques, before sharing our work at a relaxed open-mic.
